My Current Skincare Obsession: Milk Makeup

I am sure you have all heard about MILK Makeup by now, but just In case you haven’t, I’m going to share with you a little about the brand, their ingredients, and why I am loving this brand SO much.

Milk Makeup believes you should have good ingredients + epic payoff, because compromise is cool, but not in your beauty routine. Their super-nourishing formulas provide everything from a dreamy complexion to versatile finishes. They celebrate beauty for everyone. Because beauty means inclusivity, the range goes from fresh-faced street vibes to full-face studio looks.

Milk Makeup strives to be clean. What does that mean? They leave the bad stuff out of their products. You will never see ingredients like parabens, sulfates, SLS, SLES, formaldehyde, mineral oil, or talc in their line. These ingredients are questionable for your health and have no place on your face. Instead, you’ll notice that they formulate with nourishing alternatives like watermelon extract and mango butter.

Milk Makeup is also 100% vegan and cruelty-free, great beauty products that don’t harm animals.
It’s clean, cool beauty.

I know what you’re thinking, “all that sounds amazing but is this clean vegan stuff really any good?”

And the answer is, YES!

I first tried out the “Sunshine oil”, the “cooling water,” and the “watermelon brightening serum,” and let me tell you I have never before tried a product and felt immediate results.

The sunshine oil is nourishing and hydrating, it can be used all over, and it smells amazing.

The cooling water does exactly what it claims, instantly de-puffs.
If you are like me and you wake up with puffy eyes or an entire puffy face, this is a must.

The watermelon brightening serum brightens, hydrates, and smooths your skin by reducing the appearance of dark spots for a more even skin tone. I instantly felt my skin hydrated and smooth, after a few days I began to see a much evener skin tone.

I loved these products so much that I decided to pick up their “blur liquid matte foundation.”
I really like the foundation, at first I was having a problem with creasing, but after setting it with a translucent powder it has held much better. I am still not ready to say I love this foundation, I am going to be picking up the Milk Makeup primer and setting spray and hopefully, it all sets much better and I can then call it my favorite foundations. (let me know if you would like me to give you an update on this)

Overall I am LOVING Milk Makeup, they work with clean ingredients that only do your skin good, they are cruelty-free & vegan, AND the results are Amazing.

Now tell me, what Milk Makeup products are you loving or what products  would you like to try out?

Girls clothing line I am Ob.sessed with

As a mother of two girls, I am constantly trying to be mindful of my words when it comes to expressing my self about my body and appearance.

I don’t want my girls to hear me complaining about my body or comparing myself to others. In order to combat the possibility of them hearing me speak negatively about my self, I am practicing body positivity.

I want my girls to love themselves as they are.

So, when I received an invitation to partner with @ob.sess, a brand that is all about promoting body-positivity among girls who are all shapes, sizes, and ethnicities, launched by the beautiful @Laurie Hernandez_, I was all in.

Yes, the collection is full of pretty clothes sizes 7 – 20,

but it’s the messages that are being sent to our girls, that I’m loving most.

more from the @ob.sess collection at JCPenney

If you are a mom, aunt, grandmother, or friend to a little girl you should check out @ob.sess at your local @JCPenney or at

We are loving  these magnetic tiles by PicassoTiles

PicassoTiles has done it again. PT136 Math, Science, and Art All in One Set brought the two counter-intuitive development areas together enabling the kids to learn by playing and bring out the best of both being artistically creative while technically and statically advanced at the same time.

The girl’s Imagination runs wild with the swappable magnetized insert cards, 16 Craft Arts (these are the girls favorite), 2 Car Trucks, 2 LED lights, 14 Symbols (23 Styles), 26 Alphabets, 10 Numerals, and 66 Frames.

The girls got creative and incorporated their name into their creations.

And lastly, mommy had a little fun with the magnetic tiles too.

Mamas, it’s never too early to start developing kid’s creativity. PicassoTiles inspires kids learning by playing. PT136 magnetic tiles clip-In insert card is just one of the many educational toys they carry. Make sure to check them out the next time you are shopping for a little one.

a day I dreamed of even before you were born

from the moment I found out I was expecting a little girl I imagined you on a stage.

As you already know, I love to dance, and I danced for a greater portion of my youth.
In fact, my last performance was when I was 8 months pregnant with you…

Today, my dream of seeing you perform came true and I could not hold back the tears.

It may seem silly or insignificant to many, but you are a precious miracle, and seeing you perform reminded me of how amazing God is and how blessed I am to have you as my daughter.

I want you to know I am so incredibly proud of you. You practiced and practiced, and at the very last minute, due to the stage set up, your spots were changed and you, along with your team, were able to adapt and perform beautifully.

XO – your mommy who loves you & is very proud of you

It is obvious that I need improvement overall.
I will be focusing mostly on the four areas listed below.

First, improve my cardiovascular health. Although I have a healthy resting BP I am not where I need to be with my rate of exertion.
Second, I need to improve my hydration drastically (this would help my acne as well)
Third, I need to be able to do 15 + push ups
Fourth, I need to bring my body fat down to 32%

I believe that by improving these four areas I will improve my overall numbers.

This does not mean I will not be training in the other areas, this simply means I will focus most of my training time into these four areas as well as improving my One Repetition Maximum (1 RM)

I will test again in 6 weeks to see my improvements.
